  1. When the Maine Men were first brought to the camp they looked like prisoners.
  2. Chamberline had promision to shoot them if they got out of line or didnt want to fight.
  3. Chamberline couldn't shoot a man who didnt want to fight.
  4. The men relized after his speach that he realy did care about them.
  5. Even though Chamberline wasnt goint to make them fight he was goin to make them come along either way.

Questions

  1. How would these tired men hold up?
  2. was the rest of the regiment prepared for the new men?
  3. did they have enough weponds for the new men?
  4. Was everything goin to go as well as planned?

  1. When food was mentioned everybody seemed to get alittle more life in them.

  4. Camberline gave a speach that was more like a preeching to the men in hopes of getting thier spirts up.

  3. Apparently the Main Men were famous to some degree.
  4. Weather it was a good famous or not I haven't read yet.
  5. Chaberline seemed kind of worried but he had to take them.

  2. would they even agree to fight?
  3. when the were brought to the camp why were they treated to poorly?
  4. could the camp support an incline in numbers of this much?

  1. Because the Union Army was coming they had to bring all the camps together.
  2. they thought this would make them more prepared.
  3. they were going to cut them off as they were marching toward the camps.
  4. they found Gettysburge on the map as an ideal spot.
  5. Gettysburge wasnt a really preplanned place it was just picked off the map because it looked like a good place.

  2. would bringing the camps together help all that much?

  2. Harrison stood his ground during the questioning.
  3. Harrison's boss didnt aprove of using spys but had no choice in some cases.
  4. Harrison's information was correct but they didnt belive him.
  5. Even though they didnt belive hime they had no choice but to act.

  1. Why hadn't anybody told them that the union army was coming?
  2. Did something happen to the other informants?
  3. Why hadnt the other camps spotted them?
  4. could they win against the Union Army?

  1. the first chapter og "the Killer Angels" was called the spy and for the first couple a pageges almost the whole chapter they wouldnt mention the spy's name.
  2. He went through alot to find out where the other army was.
  3. The spy's name was Harrison
  4. Harrison got back to his informat but had to cross a picket line.
  5. The general didn't at first belive the spy at the where abouts of the other army.

  1. what were the picket lines?
  2. why were they considered so dangerouse?
  3. why was it more dangerouse to attempt to cross them at night?
  4. Had people died from the picketlines?
